My Little Life

I helped the developer of My Little Life rapidly implement new features to get the game ready for a Steam page launch.  Under tight deadlines and on a new project, I was able to deliver on multiple features such as a reworked UI and new features for characters and their stats.

Heretic’s Fork

I worked closely with the lead developer of Heretic’s Fork to design and implement an extremely immersive title screen that doubles as a semi-functional computer desktop.

I later took over update duties, designing cards, overall theme, and balance of the Holiday and Heavy Metal updates.

Rebel Transmute

As the sole developer working on Rebel Transmute, I spent years planning, designing, and executing my vision.  I had to balance desire with practicality and marketability.

I learned invaluable lessons from this experience, and was able to successfully launch a well-reviewed 2D adventure platformer on Steam.

Vineyard Valley

As an Associate Game Designer at Jam City, I constructed interactive, 3D gameplay sequences using Unity, with attention to artistic and narrative detail.

Working from a world-class script, I staged cameras, characters, and props, designed animations, and rewrote dialog to ensure the writer’s story was told.

The Last Sheepdog

The Last Sheepdog is a very short puzzle game that attempts to merge two ideas.  ‘Sacrifices must be made’ was the theme for the jam, and I joined that with my new obsession with a game about playing a sheepdog and herding sheep.  This was made in under 6 hours, and I’m very proud of it.

Transmute

This was my first game in a few years, and was my first game jam entry ever.  I had a lot of fun, and pushed myself to not only learn a new engine (Game Maker Studio 2) but also just how to program a platformer and a shooter in one go.

Testimonials from Ludum Dare 41

‘I love puzzle games and I don’t think I’ve seen anyone make a game just like this.’ – Meijerson

‘Love the Graphics, the controller movement is really slick for a jam, the puzzles are fun and the shooting aspect really integrates into the platforming instead of just being ‘on top of it’.’ – radow

‘Fun game; interesting mechanics. Good difficulty curve to slowly introduce mechanics.’ – Whirlwind

Meaningful Life

Meaningful Life was made as my senior project in High School, and was my
first attempt at a longer form game with narrative elements.

This game is written purely in Java, and requires a download of Java for Windows to run.
